2018 S.M.M.U.R.F.F.F. Award Winner
I performed at the 2018 Ring16 S.M.M.U.R.F.F.F. competition at The Memphis Botanic Gardens. I am very happy to say that things went well, and I won this year's competition against some fine performers. (Consecutive winner: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) This is a routine that I have been doing since I was a teenager, but haven't performed it in quite a while. I decided to work on it again, and bring in a live musician to provide music, rather than the recorded music that I had been using. Sabrina Hu is a faculty member at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and plays Debussy's "Syrinx" beautifully. I don't know why I hadn't thought of this years ago. I will have a video of this classic Joe Karson illusion (ZOMBIE) soon !

My Winning Linking Ring Routine From 2017
This was a performance of a classic RING routine that I have presented to audiences for over 30 years. I performed this routine recently to win the local magic competition known as the S.M.M.U.R.F.F.F. Award (Society of Memphis Magicians Unique Reward For Finishing First) that was begun in 1981.
